Welcome back to my blog! Today we have a fun installment featuring more pictures and stories about my daily life.
Let’s get the food out of the way first.

That’s not the most beautiful photography I’ve ever used, but that’s fine.
On the left is today’s breakfast. I made fresh rice and topped it with a seaweed salad (which you can find at Costco), natto, and onsen tomago.
I’ve talked about natto on this blog before. It’s fermented soybeans, and it’s a staple for breakfast in Japan. It’s pretty sticky, and a lot of people can’t stand the smell. But if you can bear it, it’s supposed to be pretty healthy for you.
Onsen tamago are, simply, soft-boiled eggs. They’re cooked slowly in hot springs, so the texture is super creamy. You can buy them in packs of 5 at the supermarket, and they keep in the refrigerator for like a week. It’s really convenient if you like boiled eggs for breakfast but don’t have the foresight to boil them the night before / don’t have 6 minutes to boil them in the morning.
The other two pictures are from Coco’s. I ended up eating there 3 times last week, after not going for about 6 months. I think it’s pretty obvious what I ate there, but I’ll explain anyway. That’s a margherita pizza (just okay), some kari kari potato aka crispy French fries (delicious) and sausage, and pasta.
Now for the rest of the pictures:

The top left is a picture of a UGA sweatshirt that I found in a used clothes shop. It wouldn’t be special if I was back in Georgia, but here it was a pretty exciting find. I don’t remember the exact price, but it was somewhere around $60.
The next two pictures are just to give you a feel of what the weather has been like for the past two months. That’s Kazu’s shadow in the first picture and the stairs to my apartment building in the next one. I don’t keep up with the details, but apparently we’ve gotten a record-breaking amount of snow this winter (again).
The last picture is the popcorn and Coca-Cola from my journey to the movie theater yesterday. I saw 呪術廻戦0, which is an anime movie about curses and magic. Very exciting! It was in Japanese with no subtitles, so I missed about 60% of the dialogue, but the story was pretty easy to follow.
Other than that, I wrote about 20 more letters, played Wordle daily, went to the gym, and took more Japanese lessons.
That’s all for this week! Catch you next time.
